We meet up with Esko Airas, who is the co-founder and CEO of Inphiz. He has, among other things, a background as a former co-owner of a management consultancy firm. In this interview, we learn more about why Esko chose Tagd, why he decided to join Inphiz, and the common denominator between their business and ours.
Insecure working conditions planted a seed
During his early school years, Esko worked part-time with roof maintenance. The site manager was relatively uninterested and sent the school kids up on the roof with shaky ladders, without proper safety equipment or instructions, other than “be careful around the edges.”
The situation was so bad that one of the school kids fell headfirst from the roof while trying to help Esko, who was about to pass out from heatstroke. Fortunately, the colleague survived with only a broken arm. This was the defining moment that planted a seed in Esko’s mind, one that he would carry with him and that would later inspire the further development of Inphiz.
The Inphiz platform makes the site managers and employees’ workdays more enjoyable, simpler, and safer. It ensures employer compliance, simplifies communication with employees, and makes permit processes “bulletproof,” as Esko puts it.
